How to Reach Us
We're at 1203 N Gertrude Ave, Stockton, CA 95215. Call 1-209-435-1820 and you'll reach the shop, not a national call center that routes you to whoever's closest. If you're coming from both about 2 to 3 miles off, you're close. Same goes for a few miles further out. We also take calls from homeowners further south in Weston Ranch and out toward. If you're not sure whether your neighborhood is in range, just call and ask - it's faster than guessing from a map.
We don't run a storefront you browse. This is a service address tied to a working crew, which means the best way to get something looked at is a phone call, not a walk-in. If you leave a message, tell us what the door is doing (won't open, stuck halfway, making noise) so we know what to bring.
The Short Version
We fix and replace garage doors and the hardware that runs them
Springs, cables, rollers, tracks, openers, panels. That's the whole business. We're not a general contractor who also does garage doors on the side.
Most of the work we see reflects what's actually on the ground here
Housing across this service area was built mostly between 1938 and 2010, with the bulk of it going up in the 1960s and 70s across the twenty or so named neighborhoods we cover, from August close in to Lockeford and Byron out past 15 miles. That means a lot of original torsion spring setups, steel sectional doors from an earlier generation of hardware, and openers that have been swapped once or twice since the house was built. We don't stock parts for every era of door ever made, and if your opener is old enough that the manufacturer doesn't support it anymore, we'll tell you straight instead of promising a fix we can't deliver.

The Work We Take On
Broken torsion and extension springs, snapped cables, bent or off-track doors, openers that hum but don't lift, worn rollers that are starting to bind - that's the bulk of our call volume. We also handle full door replacements when a repair doesn't make sense anymore, which happens more often on doors that match the 1960s-70s stock common across this area than on newer builds.
What we don't do: we're not a handyman service for unrelated house repairs, and we don't install doors on new construction that hasn't been framed to spec. If a job needs an electrician or a carpenter first, we'll say so rather than take it on anyway.
Heat is the main climate factor we build repairs around here - it affects lubricant breakdown, opener circuit boards baking in an unventilated garage, and how often springs need replacing versus other regions. We don't deal with heavy snow or ice loads, so our approach to hardware and scheduling is built around that reality, not a one-size-fits-all national checklist.
